St Simon Stock Catholic School is a mixed 11-19 Catholic comprehensive school in a selective authority, located on a pleasant campus in Maidstone, Kent. We welcome students of all levels of ability and our mission is that all our students, guided by Gospel values, achieve their full potential within the Christian context of service to others. Our primary aim is that all our students are happy, feel safe and support each other. We believe passionately that students who feel happy, secure and cared for will learn well.
We have high expectations of each individual student, and each year many students of all abilities make significant progress, attaining the highest standards in their public examinations. In 2009 we achieved our best ever results at GCSE and at A Level, with our Sixth Form students making significantly high progress at all levels, but especially the higher grades of A and B.
We work closely with our neighboring secondary schools and Mid-Kent College and belong to the ME16+ Consortium, with common timetables for some subjects in the Sixth Form. These community links ensure that we give students in the West Maidstone area a wider choice of courses in 14-19 education. We are also a designated Specialist Technology College, and CISCO academy, with especially high standards and achievement in the subjects related to these areas - Technology, Maths, Science and ICT.
We have 1065 students on roll, including 215 in the Sixth Form.
